News for December 2023!
What happened in December 2023 at Phyto-info… we tell you everything!
Happy New Year to you all 🌿
Once upon a time there were four wood nymphs whose mission was to protect the forest and all its inhabitants. Beautiful and graceful, these four young women dressed in light dresses fell in love with the Sun King, Apollo. This love made them lose their minds to such an extent that they forgot their duties to their goddess, Artemis. She, annoyed, transformed them into dirty white marigold flowers. Apollo, feeling sorry for the nymphs, sent them one of his gold-colored rays. We will note in passing the genius idea of this god to save the four damsels in distress! Indeed, there was really nothing else he could do for these four creatures. In short… Back to our history, our wood nymphs, now becoming magnificent orange-yellow marigolds, and still in love with the Sun King, never stopped following their loved one with their eyes and this, from morning to evening.
Quite naturally over time, concern was used in the composition of love potions and potions to find the ideal partner. It is still important to add that absinthe was often part of the recipe, which certainly helped to have “clearer” ideas for choosing between two contenders 🤣. Long considered a magic herb, marigold (from Latin soulcié and from Low Latin solsequia which means “to follow the sun”, not “to care”) brought happiness and prosperity to all those who cared for it in their garden. For all these reasons, we wish you lots of soucis for 2024… des jardins 🥰
Added plants 👏
- Pot marigold (Calendula officinalis)
Nowadays, the dermatological and cosmetic fields far exceed the mystical field slightly discussed above. Indeed, marigold is a real panacea for the skin… because we are worth it 🤗. Discover its 113 traditional uses and how to use it on our platform.

We update our plant sheets regularly, due to the fact that we have new books 📚. This month it is the turn of our four blades.

The wonderful world of dosages 👏
Determining the right dosage of plants is sometimes a real headache. Some authors give us the weight of plants for 1 liter of water, while others try to make our life easier by giving us handle or spoon matches. It’s cool and it comes from a good feeling. Only between the soup spoon, the teaspoon, the tea spoon for the English, and sometimes the dessert spoon or the mouth spoon (if you’ve already seen it mentioned), you have to admit that it doesn’t really help.
To simplify the problem, we decided to dissect the dosages instructions found in the books and to standardize them. Simplification has already begun for some plants, the others will follow soon. To know how to do it, more info on our blog.
Celebration 👏
This month we celebrated the addition of our thirtieth plant. Our database is growing little by little but surely, and that’s thanks to you. A big thank you to all for your encouragement 🥰
Don’t forget, we give our members the opportunity to choose the plants to include in our search tool; Do not hesitate to let us know your preferences by email.
